It’s a miss characterization of the issue to say that…

Self-Driving Trucks Are Going to Hit Us Like a Human-Driven Truck

… because the estimates are saying that it’s going to take 10 maybe as much as 20 years for robots to replace professional human drivers.

UBI assumes that people are just so helpless to adapt to change that we need a titanic system to redistribute of resources.

It’s reasonable to ask adults to plan ahead 10–20 to change careers as society changes.
