ZenGold Credibility Analysis

Zengold.org pretending to be us advertising an IPO for a cryptocurrency, do not be fooled a total scam out of China.

According to ZenGold.com — an informative gold industry watchdog site. What are some of the red flags ZenGold exhibits?

• Like almost every other digital gold scam I’ve looked into they did not publish 3rd party audits of their gold reserves.
• Their social media has been inactive for over three years and folks on Twitter are calling ZenGold a scam.
• On Youtube, I could find very few videos about ZenGold — no analysis videos, no interviews with the ZenGold team, and no reviews.
• Apparently, they did an airdrop — giving away free tokens — this doesn’t make sense with a digital gold project. Would they really give away free gold? I don’t think so!
• They’ve removed the 13-page whitepaper from their website but I was able to find an achieved version of it, and the red flag in it is no identification or mention of the team behind the project. A whitepaper should have a listed author or a modicum of information about the who’s behind the project — even the Bitcoin whitepaper contained Satoshi’s email.

On their Linkedin company page, one Steve Zhang is listed as Project Director. An archived version of the ZenGold website lists a JEN LEE as CEO and an ERIC GU Strategy Adviser, He is also a lifetime member of the Bitcoin Foundation, according to his bio. I don’t know if these people were involved with the scam that ZenGold became, it does appear that ZenGold was associated with a company called ViewFin which is active, I’d be wary of any new digital gold or cryptocurrency projects they issued.
