Stacking Piracetam + Vinpocetine

This is a combination of Piracetam and Vinpocetine. I’ve been using it for about a month. One of the nice things about Racetams is that you can usually ascertain their Nootropic effect relatively rapidly.

You guys know I’m not a big of Vinpocetine, it’s kind of a lackluster Nootropic and when I’ve used it in isolation I was always pretty underwhelmed by the effects but it only contains a very small amount of Vinpo, it mostly consists of one of my all time favorite smart drugs, Piracetam. Each one of these little capsules is 5 milligrams of Vinpo and 400 milligrams of Piracetam.

For those of you who aren’t acquainted with Vinpo it’s a cerebral vasodilator, which means that it increases blood flow to the brain, which makes you more alert and energetic. Vasodilators tend to potentiate whatever other drugs you are taking. If you drink alcohol you’ll get drunker, if you smoke weed you’ll get higher and if you snort some cocaine perhaps you’ll end up getting into an epic break dancing battle with a guy wearing no shirt. You would expect it to also potentiate the Piracetam but this effect was not really conspicuous to me.

Long term usage of Piracetam is typically associated with improved ability to access long term memory and verbal intelligence. I didn’t notice these effects really conspicuously as I have in the past when I used Piracetam.

I typically did two capsules a day, in the morning and in the mid afternoon. Which is not a whole lot.

I combined it with Semax, Rhodiola and these Adaptogen extracts that I’ve been using. Nothing interesting to report from these combinations.

I experienced no choline headaches or other undesirable effects.

It looks like there’s about 6 studies on Pubmed specifically on this product VINPOTROPILE® and there was a clinical trial of 20 patients done in 2010

The higher performance on the task and less errors were seen in the proof test that reflected the increase of attention/concentration. Patients showed the significant improvement on a scale that assessed self-rated health, activity and mood. The emotional state was normalized in 50% of patients during the treatment with vinpotropile. No adverse effects were observed.

But it’s not a very significant study because it doesn’t mention if it is placebo controlled and that’s a small study group.
I offer this not as criticism of Vinotropil but just to explain the science.

In conclusion, I think I’d rather just do Piracetam. It’s a better value. Although, this product is pretty cheap, it’s just 13 euros. Piracetam is something that you can modulate the dosage with quite a bit.
