Where DigiByte is Accepted Locally and Globally

A secure medium-of-exchange coin often called the most decentralized crypto which was a Bitcoin-copycat originally.

Its low fees and fast 15-second transaction times make it attractive as a commerce coin — it’s accepted by over 500 businesses; from Mexican premium coffee outlets to Serbian cryptocurrency swag suppliers.

Who Accepts DigiByte

Should you buy DigiByte?

DGB is currently less than 20 cents a token, which is cheap for a top 100 cryptocurrency with a multiplicity of use cases — this could be a 100X ROI coin. Its price has rallied quite a bit with the 2020 Bitcoin halvening cycle. It’s so cheap that you could pick up hundreds for the cost of a decent coffee, why not get some…

The counter-point is that DigiByte has been around for a while — some children as old as DigiByte now own smartphones (that’s a scary thought!) — and its price has languished below a dollar, so is there really any hope that its price will mature with its age?

About

The DigiByte blockchain is an immutable ledger, a chain of blocks all with verifiable digital signatures since its creation in 2014 and backed by billions of dollars of cryptographic computation. Its blockchain is also fully open-source, released under the MIT license, and completely verifiable by any individual or entity. DigiByte embraces the Bitcoin core ethos of “Do not trust, verify”, in that no entity should ever need be “trusted” in order to send/receive DigiByte (DGB) or to store/retrieve data from the DigiByte blockchain. DigiByte originally utilized the Litecoin code-base, with a completely independent blockchain and a unique Genesis Block. It has undergone several non-contentious soft-forks and hard-forks, none of which culminated in a chain-split, but rather a complete consensus resulting in seamless upgrades of the entire DigiByte network.

From the DigiByte Community Infopaper

DigiByte is a rapidly growing open-source blockchain created in late 2013 and released in early 2014. After 6 years of forward thinking development, DigiByte has become one of the safest, fastest, longest and most decentralized UTXO blockchain in existence.
