Where Ethereum Classic is Accepted Locally and Globally

As its name suggests, ETC is the original version of Ethereum. Ethereum, the second most popular cryptocurrency, is actually a hard fork that was implemented in response to the 2016 DAO hack of Ethereum. Over 800 businesses — Spanish watchmakers, Argentinean hotels, Swiss hosting companies, and American police gear suppliers among them — accept ETC as payment.

Who Accepts Ethereum

Should you buy Ethereum Classic?

Crypto nerds debate whether ETH or ETC is better, but the market has spoken and ETH is worth dramatically more. However, ETC offers many of the same features and functions, and ETH’s gas fees are making it increasingly unappealing as a utility coin. It shares characteristics of Bitcoin and Ethereum, it’s a store-of-value crypto with a finite supply of tokens. You can anticipate its value being dragged up by the success of Bitcoin and the inflation of the US Dollar. People will continue to buy and use it just because of its good name.

But, I wouldn’t bet the farm on it, it has sustained and survived multiple 51% attacks but this is the original version of Ethereum which was vulnerable to a catastrophic hack, if that happens again it will become a laughing stock.

Are you an Entrepreneur, freelancer, or manager of a business accepting cryptocurrency?

Ethereum Classic provides a permissionless way to manage digital assets without the need for intermediaries, such as banks and other institutions.

Ethereum Classic allows uncensorable smart contracts to be written, deployed and executed; ETC enables truly unstoppable programmable money.

Ethereum Classic is the continuation of the unaltered history of the original Ethereum chain. The ETC network exists to preserve the principle of “Code is Law”.

From ethereumclassic.org

Ethereum Classic (ETC) is the original ethereum blockchain eth and etc share the same blockchain record before the July 2016 hard fork. Because of that the initial design and functionality of these two networks were essentially the same.
